For a country with a history so rich in struggle Vietnam has done incredibly well to be where they are today. Vietnam regularly exports billions of dollars worth of produce to the United States. Some of these exports include metals, cotton, diamonds, appliances, electrical goods and leather. Vietnam is now major players in importing/exporting with the United States. This is a real mark of how well they have done in recovering from their troubled past.
As recently as 1992 Vietnam had a new state constitution announced. A single party now runs the Republic of Vietnam – The National Assembly of Vietnam is that party and is made up of just under five hundred people. The highest court in the whole of Vietnam is known as ‘The Supreme People’s Court of Vietnam’. This court answers to the National Assembly – a far cry from historical Vietnam. The Vietnamese People’s Army actively enhances the economy by assisting the work force; such is Vietnam’s determination to become a strong economic nation. Vietnam has strong stable relationships with countries worldwide. This further reinforces them as a country that has succeeded in moving on from their troubles.
